For participants with the Suggester role submitting suggestions, see <a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/en\/hc\/suggesting-claims\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"50\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\">Suggesting Claims<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_86a7022f-13fd-453d-acda-b95dd8674ef0\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What are Suggestions?<\/span><\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suggestions are claims or comments submitted by participants who have the Suggester role in a discussion. These suggested claims and comments are hidden from other users until they are approved by an Admin.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Admins receive a notification whenever participants suggest a claim or comment in their discussions. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_d1244bd5-20d6-4910-8915-6d91b16f0844\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to View Suggested Claims and Comments<\/span><\/h2><p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#e9f1fb\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> To view and respond to suggestions, you must have <a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/en\/hc\/participant-roles-and-permissions\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"97\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\">Admin permissions<\/a> in a discussion.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To view pending suggestions in a discussion:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the three horizontal bars at the top-left of the screen to open the<\/span> <a href=\"\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360033230531\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Discussion Menu<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select either &lsquo;<strong>Suggested Claims<\/strong>&rsquo; or &lsquo;<strong>Suggested Comments<\/strong>&rsquo;.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the appropriate option to open the list of pending suggestions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If there are pending suggestions that have not yet been accepted or hidden, a glowing blue dot appears in the Discussion Menu to notify you.<\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_0c87410c-8910-4ca7-bd9e-ab841ab33564\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responding to Suggested Claims<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the list of Suggested Claims is opened, click on a suggestion to be taken to it in the discussion. Underneath the suggested claim is the option to &lsquo;<strong>Accept<\/strong>&rsquo; or &lsquo;<strong>Reply<\/strong>&rsquo; to it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-framed\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Suggested-Claim.png\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Suggested-Claim-1024x250.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-275\"><\/a><\/figure><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accepting a Suggested Claim<\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click &lsquo;<strong>Accept<\/strong>&rsquo; to approve the claim. Accepting a claim makes it visible in the discussion for other participants to see and interact with.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the author has suggested more claims underneath their initial claim, claims located at the top of the branch must be accepted before the lower suggestions can be accepted.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once a suggested claim is accepted, a pop-up appears prompting to invite the participant to the discussion with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/en\/hc\/participant-roles-and-permissions\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"97\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\">Writer role<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Replying to and Hiding a Suggested Claim<\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clicking &lsquo;Reply&rsquo; will take you to the comment field, where changes or clarifications can be requested from the suggester. Once replied to, a suggested claim can be hidden from the Suggested Claims menu by clicking &lsquo;Hide until suggester responds&rsquo;.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You receive a notification when the suggester amends their claim or responds to your message. If a suggestion is hidden and there are further suggestions below it, the branch is hidden until the user responds. <\/span><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-framed\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Replying-to-and-Hiding-a-Suggested-Claim.png\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Replying-to-and-Hiding-a-Suggested-Claim.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277\" width=\"484\" height=\"385\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To view suggested claims which have been hidden, check the &lsquo;Show hidden and archived suggestions&rsquo; box located at the top of the Suggested Claims list in the Discussion Menu. Hidden suggested claims can be approved or responded to the same way regular suggestions are. Suggested claims can also be <a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/en\/hc\/finding-a-discussion\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"81\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\">searched<\/a> by clicking the magnifying glass.<\/span><\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Moving a Suggested Claim<\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suggested claims can be moved to another location in the same way<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/en\/hc\/moving-linking-a-claim\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"52\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\">regular claims are<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a suggested claim is moved and there are further suggestions below it, the entire branch of suggested claims is moved to the new location. Suggestions cannot be moved under suggestions by other authors.<\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_bb4c24a9-0749-4740-8bff-64a2d4ee778d\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responding to<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Suggested Comments<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-framed\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Suggested-Comment.png\" referrerpolicy=\"unsafe-url\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.kialo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2023\/04\/Suggested-Comment.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-279\" width=\"446\" height=\"195\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Underneath a suggested comment is the option to either &lsquo;Accept&rsquo; or &lsquo;Reject&rsquo; it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accepting a suggested comment makes it visible for other users. If rejecting a suggested comment, a popup appears prompting a reason for rejecting the comment.
