To copy a claim, click on the three dots that appear at the top-right-hand of a claim when you hover over it: or, right-click on the claim to open the claim menu bar.
Select ‘Copy to Clipboard’, and the claim will appear in your clipboard, at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
From there you can drag the claim to your intended location. You can also drag claims directly to a new location if it is within the same screen; or drag a claim directly to the clipboard.
When dragging a claim you can drop it onto an existing claim (on the left-hand side will place it under that claim as a pro, on the right-hand side will place it under that claim as a con), or to the top of any column of pros or cons to add it to that column.
Whenever you drop a claim into place you’ll be given a choice between moving it there (which will remove it from the location you copied it from) or copying it there (which will keep it at the location you copied it from as well). Note that copied claims are more like links than true copies - edits to a claim in one location in a discussion will apply to all copies of the claim, and claims added or removed under a claim will be added or removed in all locations of that claim.
This short video will also walk you through the steps required to move/copy a claim, as well as several other key features of a Kialo discussion.
