Enabling and Disabling Keyboard Modifiers

In order to submit or save most actions made in a discussion on Kialo, users can by default press the ‘Enter’ key on a non-touch screen device. If desired, you can change this so the ‘Shift’, ‘CTRL’ or ‘⌘ CMD’ key needs to be held while ‘Enter’ is pressed to submit or save your action.

To adjust keyboard modifiers:

1. Open your User Settings. 
2. Navigate to the ‘General Settings’ section. 
3. Check/uncheck the ‘Use Shift-Enter instead of Enter to send/save’ option. 
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save’. 

Note: If this option is checked, pressing only ‘Enter’ will submit or save in most places on Kialo. If this box is not checked, you will need to use modifier keys (such as ‘Shift’) as well as ‘Enter’.
