To alert the author of a claim, and other Admins, Editors and Writers, to a problem, you can mark a claim for review. There are several different marks available, for different problems that you might encounter - these are outlined in Types of Mark.
To mark a claim, click on the three dots that appear at the top-right-hand of a claim when you hover over it, or right-click on the claim, to open the claim menu bar. Select ‘Mark for Review’. Alternatively, while in the comments window (see: Commenting on a Claim), click on the flag icon in the top bar.
Select the mark you would like to apply. You will be given the option to include an explanation of why you think there is a problem. When you are ready, click on the ‘mark’ button to attach the mark. The author will receive a notification, and the claim will be marked in yellow to alert other users to the problem.
When you send back a suggestion (see: Suggesting Claims) for review, it will disappear from the discussion for you and other Admins until the author edits it.
This short video will also walk you through the steps required to mark a claim, as well as several other key features of a Kialo discussion.
