If you believe that a claim might not be suitable in a discussion, you can mark it for review. This will notify the author, as well as mark the claim in yellow for other users, so the issue with the claim can be resolved. There are several different types of marks available for different problems that you might encounter - for more information, see Types of Mark.
To mark a claim, click on the three dots that appear at the top-right-hand of a claim when you hover over it, or right-click on the claim, to open the claim menu. Select ‘Mark for Review’. Alternatively, while in the comments window (see: Commenting on a Claim), click on the flag icon in the top bar.
Select the type of mark you would like to apply. You will be given the option to include an explanation of why you think there is a problem. When you are ready, click on the ‘Mark’ button to mark the claim for review.
This short video will also walk you through the steps required to mark a claim, as well as several other key features of a Kialo discussion.
