To alert the author of a claim - and other Admins, Editors and Writers - to a problem, you can mark a claim for review. There are several different marks available, for different problems that you might encounter - these are outlined in Types of Mark. In order to mark a claim, you must be either an Admin or Editor in a debate.
To mark a claim, click on the three dots that appear at the top-right-hand of a claim when you hover over it, or right-click on the claim, to open the claim menu. Select ‘Mark for Review’. Alternatively, while in the comments window (see: Commenting on a Claim) and click on the flag icon in the top bar.
Select the mark you would like to apply. You will be given the option to include an explanation of why you think there is a problem. When you are ready, click on the ‘Mark’ button to attach the mark. The author will receive a notification, and the claim will be marked in yellow to alert other users to the problem.
This short video will also walk you through the steps required to mark a claim, as well as several other key features of a Kialo discussion.
