To invite participants to your discussion, go to the discussion menu (click on the three horizontal bars at the top-left of the screen), and select ‘Discussion Settings’. Select the ‘Invites & Permissions’ tab. In the ‘Invite to this Discussion’ field, type usernames or email addresses separated by spaces. To invite an entire team, prefix the team name with a ‘/’.
In the dropdown menu to the right, set the participant role you would like to invite the user or users to (see: Participant Rights and Roles). Optionally, you can include a message with your invite.
If the person you are inviting (by email) does not have a Kialo account, the invite link sent will direct them through setting up an account.
Note that only 25 invites can be sent in each batch. You can only invite other users to a discussion that you’re an Admin or Owner for.
Alternatively, you can create a link that can be shared out and will allow users who follow it to join the discussion as Editors. For more information on this option, see Inviting Participants by Invite Link.
