As an Admin, when someone suggests a claim in one of your discussions, you’ll see a faded claim box with options to ‘Accept’ the claim or ‘Reply’ to it (i.e. comment on it). If you want to discuss the claim with other Admins, select the ‘Keep the suggestion visible for admins’ box before sending your comment. Otherwise, the claim will be hidden for all Admins until the suggesting user replies with a comment or edits the claim. If you hide a suggestion with other suggestions nested under it, the entire branch will be hidden, and will be unhidden when the suggester next changes something in that branch (comments on a suggestion, edits, moves or deletes a suggestion, adds another nested suggestion).
Hidden suggestions can be found and un-hidden by using the search function (see: Finding a Claim), elect ‘in this discussion with deleted’ in the search options.
A suggested claim that was initially left visible to all Admins can be hidden pending a response from the suggesting user at any point by clicking ‘Hide Suggestion’.
If you accept a suggestion with other suggested claims nested under it, this will not accept all suggestions in the branch - you’ll be able to go through and individually confirm that each suggestion is ready to be accepted.
To see a list of all suggested claims in one of your discussions, click on the three horizontal bars at the top-left of the screen to open the discussion menu. Click on ‘Suggested Claims’.
As an Admin, you are able to move suggested claims to new locations (under existing claims or under other suggestions created by the same author). If you want to move a suggestion under a suggestion created by a different author, you will need to accept the suggestion you want to move it under first, as otherwise the author of the claim you are moving will no longer be able to see it.
Inviting the Suggester
In the top-right-hand corner of the claim, you’ll see the option to ‘Invite’ the user who suggested the claim to the discussion as a Writer. If you give someone with open suggestions Writer, Editor or Admin rights, they’ll be able to accept any of their suggestions still pending themselves.
If you accept a suggestion, a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to invite the user. Once invited, the user will automatically become a writer in the debate.
Responding to Suggested Improvements
Just as Viewers can suggest claims, they can also suggest improvements to existing claims (see: Suggesting Improvements). Suggested improvements are visible only to Admins in the relevant discussion, until an Admin accepts them (at which point they become visible to other users as standard comments). As an Admin, you can choose to immediately accept the suggested improvement, respond to it and send it back to the suggester, or - if you’ve already responded to the suggested improvement at least once - hide it.
