In any debate, you can open the Discussion Menu by clicking the three horizontal bars at the top-left of the screen. This will give you access to the following options:
Home: Return to My Kialo.
Perspectives: See Understanding Perspectives.
Guided Voting: See Guided Voting.
Info / Stats / Topology: See Statistics and the Infographic.
Discussion Settings: This will bring up the Discussion Settings window which allows you to view or change different debate settings depending on your Permissions. For additional help with the Discussion Settings window, you can find articles for each feature in the Help Centre.
If you are an Admin in the debate, you will have the additional options:
Participation Requests: See Requesting Writer Rights.
The lower half of the Discussion Menu has links to your past contributions to a debate, as well as to claims you have bookmarked:
My Activities: Shows all your actions in a debate.
My Bookmarks: See Finding a Claim.
My Claims: Shows all your claims that are currently in the debate.
My Suggested Claims: Shows claims you have suggested which are currently pending. You can check ‘Show archived suggestions’ to also display suggested claims which have been archived (see Suggesting Claims). Note this option only appears if you are a Viewer in the current debate or have suggested claims pending.
My Suggested Comments: Shows improvements you have suggested which are currently pending (see Suggesting Improvements). Note this option only appears if you are a Viewer in the current debate or have suggested improvements pending.
Finally, the Help option enables help mode, which offers assistance with the Kialo layout and features. Blue indicators will appear over areas of interest which can be clicked to open a toast window containing further information. To exit help mode, click the Help option again in the Discussion Menu, press ‘H’ on your keyboard, or click the blue ‘?’ icon to the right of the debate title in the header.
The Discussion Menu can be closed by clicking on the three horizontal lines at the top left of the screen again, or the X to the right of the menu title.
